Michael J. Boyle is a Partner and Shareholder and serves as Senior Trial Attorney for the Barone Defense Firm. The firm has offices in Birmingham and Grand Rapids, and handle cases throughout the State of Michigan. Mr. Boyle has been personally trained and mentored by the Firm’s principal and founding member Mr. Patrick T. Barone. Mr. Boyle is a highly trained and skilled Trial Attorney and has represented clients in over 70+ counties throughout Michigan. Mr. Boyle is a graduate of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan Trial College. He has also a graduate of the highly regarded “Trial Lawyers College,” which was founded by nationally renowned trial attorney Gerry Spence. He is also trained and certified as a Drug Recognition Evaluator/Expert (DRE) specifically designed for DUI Drug cases, and also Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement.

Mr. Boyle has had extensive training and experience in understanding the science and principals involved in chemical testing, including the DMT DataMaster (breath testing), which is used throughout the State. In addition, Mr. Boyle is one of only a few Michigan attorneys that has had specialized and hands-on training with Gas Chromatography (GC) (quantitative blood testing) for alcohol and GC / Mass Spec for whole drug & blood drug Detection and analysis. This unique and essential comprehension allows him to understand the complex science of alcohol metabolism and confidently and successfully cross examine the State’s forensic experts.

Mr. Boyle is a founding Board Member of the Michigan Association of OWI Attorneys (MIAOWIA) and has been a Speaker at several seminars throughout Michigan, including presenting at the State Bar of Michigan Marijuana Law Section on “Tips in Handling Marijuana DUID Case”. He has also served as Teaching Assistant to Adjunct Professor Patrick T. Barone at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and is an active member of the Cooley Alumni Association. Jeff Crampton graduated in 1985 from Michigan State University’s James Madison College with a degree in Justice, Morality, and Constitutional Democracy, and in 1990 from Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University), where he earned his law degree summa cum laude. Mr. Crampton served as Editor-in-chief of the Detroit College of Law Review.

Mr. Crampton’s criminal law practice centers on white collar crime and drunk driving defense, where he appears throughout Western and Northern Michigan. He has presented at numerous Drunk Driving Seminars, including ICLE’s annual Drunk Driving Update. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, and the National College for DUI Defense.

Formerly a partner at Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett LLP, in 2001, Mr. Crampton co-founded the firm of Koernke & Crampton, PC in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Attorney Matt Abdo, is the Owner of Abdo Law, with his father, Cy. As a litigator, Matt provides deft touch on legal complexities inside and outside the courtroom. Matt’s unmatched compassion with clients and masterful preparation for cases has earned him his reputation as both a talented and thoughtful advocate.

Matt was raised and mentored by one of the state’s leaders in criminal law, Cy Abdo, his father. In 2010, Matt and Cy formed Abdo Law. Through continuing legal education, client-centered practices and a commitment to cutting-edge advocacy, Abdo Law has become one of Macomb County’s Top Defense firms.

In under 10 years of practice, Matt has had over 5,000 appearances on criminal and license matters. Matthew Abdo exclusively focuses on criminal law, with specializations in OWI/OUID cases, assault litigation, as well as running Abdo Law’s license restoration practice. Matt has bench and jury trial experience in District and Circuit Court. In terms of MIOWIA, Matt has used his continuing legal education and mentorship to successfully have a multitude of drunk driving charges dismissed.

Aida graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology with a specialization in Law, Crime and Deviance.  She received her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, during which time she interned at the Legal Aid and Defender Association, and for the Hon. Virginia M. Morgan at the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an American law professor at the Faculte de Droit et de Science Politique in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Aida specializes in criminal defense.   She is no stranger to injustice.  As a war refugee who has experienced genocide and ethinic-cleansing growing up in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she possesses a skill many attorneys do not, empathy.  She is able to personally connect with individuals struggling with injustice.  She is also proficient in reading, writing and speaking Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.

David Rudoi is an Attorney based out of Royal Oak, Michigan with a specialty involving the legal aspects of the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act as well as the Medical Marijuana Facilities Licensing Act. David Has given presentations to the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, The Marijuana Law Section of the Michigan Bar Association, Michigan Association of OWI Attorneys, as well as various private conferences regarding the Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act.

David has argued numerous cases in The Michigan Court of Appeals and has argued in The Michigan Supreme Court. David has been working with municipalities across Michigan to Stop correcting develop ordinances that comply with the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act and the Medical Marihuana Facilities licensing Act.
